Legal career websites - Search for legal jobs by position and/or location. Provides information on CLE's and Blog posts. - A blog created to help students find internships and jobs for the summer and during the school year – An extension of but for recent law school graduates and soon-to-be graduates. - View featured jobs and search job database. - ABA Career Counsel allows you to search for jobs and provides up-to-date career resource information. - Provides legal career resources for students, employers and schools and some job postings. - Job listings through You can search for attorney, in-house, corporate, and public interest positions. - Sponsored by the ABA, it has job postings and a wealth of other information and articles for your job search. - Legal Recruiters listed by location and practice area. - Probably the most used web site for finding attorneys and law firms. Users can search by geographic location, law school, area of practice, and more. - Search job listings by keyword, job function, city and state. - National Association for Law Placement salary surveys and related articles. - NALP Directory of Legal Employers. Thorough information about NALP law firm members, including billable hours required and salaries. Users can do a mail merge from this site. NOT all law firms are members of NALP, so this site is not a complete list of law firms. - New Hampshire Bar Assoc. job postings.

General career websites - Find jobs, post your resume and set up job alerts. - A subsidiary of Career Builder. Provides free online test, advice, resources and lists jobs. - Search for firms with terms such as "Indian Practice group," "China Practice Group," or "Asia Practice Group." - Want to find out how much you would have to make in New York City to replace your $40,000 salary in Manchester, NH? This is the site for you. It has all 50 states and most cities within each state so you can compare cost of living not just straight salaries. - juju job search engine to search by category, location, company or keyword. - National Labor Exchange. Search job postings by occupation, industry, or location, post your resume, look for career events, and utilize various career resources. - Free job and resume database. Search US and International job postings, post resume and set up job alerts. - Good for searching contract specialist positions. - NationJob career center and job database. - Free guide to employment opportunities and job resources on the internet.

Judicial clerkship websites - State clerkship guide for all 50 states put out by Vermont Law School. This is a password protected site which you can access from your account on or get the username and password. - Federal Law Clerk Information System. Database containing general law clerk employment information and openings supplied by the judges and the on-line OSCAR system used for applying to federal judges. - Federal Judges Law Clerk Hiring Plan for 2009. - Federal Judicial Center. Provides biographical information on all federal judges since 1789, including nominating president, type of court and demographic information. It also provides histories of individual courts and a site on orientation inside the federal courts. - Just the Beginning Foundation. Provides an externship and clerkship program for law students of various ethnic backgrounds who are underrepresented in the legal profession. - Comprehensive website of general information as well as links to everything related to clerkships. Created and maintained by Debra Strauss, author of Behind the Bench: The Guide to Judicial Clerkships. - National Center for State Courts. Provides links to state court websites and a link to search court jobs. - OSCAR. The online system for searching and applying for federal clerkships. - The Federal Judiciary website with information on US courts.

Government websites - Federal Circuit Bar Association’s website with information about the Federal Circuit’s jurisdiction. Also offers a career center with online links to various positions including a link for law students. - "The Home Page of Capitol Hill." Provides job postings on Capitol Hill. - Provides a directory of state, city, and county government websites. - Federal government's job database. Provides worldwide job postings and information on jobs with the federal government. - US Department of Justice Office of Attorney Recruitment website. Provides opportunities for attorneys and students within the Department of Justice.

Arts and entertainment - You can search for legal careers in the entertainment industry. - NBC Universal Careers. - Another source for legal careers in the entertainment industry. - Time Warner - Variety. Offers a featured jobs section.

Banking/finance - Bank of America Job Search page. - JP Morgan Chase & Co. – Tax Talent. This website is designed for tax professionals. Search for tax jobs and also provides tips for resumes, salary information and a career forum. - Euromoney. Provides information on international banking finance and capitol market news. - Ernst & Young. Information about working for Ernst & Young for students and experienced professionals. - International Monetary Fund. - Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.

Corporate - Association of Corporate Counsel in-house jobline. - Wall Street Journal Career Center. Search for jobs by city and state. - Corporate Legal Times. - Search the Westlaw Directory for the Directory of Corporate Counsel. - Minority Corporate Counsel Association. - National Hispanic Corporate Counsel. - United States Council for International Business.

Environmental - Environmental careers organization with job postings and related news. - US Environmental Protection Agency job opportunities.

Immigration - American Bar Association Commission on Immigration. Search for volunteer, internship and open positions. - American Immigration Law Association. Search job postings through the Career Center link. - Catholic Legal Immigration Network. - National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild, Inc. Intellectual Property - American Intellectual Property Association - Association of University Technology Managers. Become a student member and gain access to the membership list as well as job opportunities. - Search for the top patent firms by City and State. Also provides a wealth of job searching information, including various quality of life reports. - Job postings and news in the fields of biotech and pharmaceuticals. Post your resume. - Boston Patent Lawyers Association. Not just for patent lawyers. Great place to network. - US Copyright Office. No job postings but information on the copyright office including publications. - European Patent Office. Search the Jobs and Vacancies page. - Fresh Patents. Monitors patent applications filed by law firms and corporations. Click on "Agents" and you can search firms and corporations alphabetically. Updated each week. This is an excellent resource for pre-interview research. - International Trademark Association web site, which has job bank. Join as a student and have access to their membership list. - Intellectual Property Law Server. Search for IP and patent jobs. - Provides substantive information, no job listings. - Click on reports for lists of the top 300 patent firms and trademark firms and also has a Job Opportunities section. – Intellectual Property Owners Association. Visit the Career bank to search for IP jobs in the law firm or corporate setting. - Licensing Executive Society. - Provides free patent search engine by search term, attorney, inventor or company. - Public Interest Intellectual Property Advisors - US Patent and Trademark Office. You can search for patent agents in a particular location and see where they work as a potential employer. - World Intellectual Property Organization. Search the Vacancies page for careers and recruitment information. Also provides a student resource page.

International - American Foreign Law Association. Members can meet with other international lawyers, professors and judges and stay up-to-date on recent developments related to foreign, comparative and international law. - Oneworld has a section on global jobs. - Organization of American States. - Amnesty International. Provides information about Amnesty International and the Jobs section lists worldwide job vacancies. - American Society of International Law. - Careers United provides information for employers and job seekers on international development and humanitarian relief. Search international development job listings. - Center for International Legal Studies. - Graduate jobs and opportunities database where you can search for careers in the field of law across Europe. - A multi-country job search site for jobs in Europe. - European Union - Delegation of the European Commission to the USA. - Offers a multitude of country information and a job search database. Public Interest - Alliance for Justice. Search for jobs and internships around the world in field of women's rights. - Information on fellowships and loan repayment assistance programs. - Search for all types of non-profit jobs and volunteer positions. You can search by type of position, location and specialty. - Harvard Law’s Bernard Koteen Office of Public Interest Advising Website. No job postings but can access career advising resources. - National Legal Aid & Defender Association Job Opportunities page for jobs in the US. - Public Interest Law Network. Sports - Sports related job listings and a resume bank. - Information on various sports related jobs.

Bar information - Offers Patent Bar Review courses. - BarBri Bar Review Course offers both in-class and self-study bar review courses. - Comprehensive Guide to Bar Admission Requirements has information on each state’s bar exam - Click on Student Corner for information on the Patent Bar, MPRE as well as program scholarships. - US Patent and Trademark Office’s requirements for taking the Patent Bar Exam.

Association websites - American Bar Association. - National Association of Public Interest Law. Provides information on law school loans, debt and loan forgiveness. - National Black Law Students Association. - New Hampshire Bar Association.

Miscellaneous websites - US Department of State's Travel information website with information on travel advisories, visas and passports. - Webpage for The Fine Print Press, publisher of Planet Law School and The Young Lawyer's Jungle Book: A Survival Guide. Offers various books for pre-law, law students and law school graduates.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender websites – Out and Equal Workplace Advocates. This is national organization devoted to the LGBT community in the workplace. Provides resources for creating a better workplace for the LGBT community and has a Career Link portal. – Resources provided by NALP (The Association for Legal Career Professionals) for the GLBT community.
